Established in San Francisco in 1991 by Federico de Vera, his eponymous gallery has come to symbolize a singular point of view in the beauty of objects as well as display. A passion for collecting, curiosity of the natural world, and the desire to develop new ideas resulted in the opening of the first gallery in New York City in 2003. Now located in West Chelsea, de Vera continues to explore a new expression in decorative arts and jewelry.
The gallery exhibits a finely curated selection of OBJECTS including Venetian glass, Japanese lacquer, 18th century religious figures, fine silver cases and antique jewelry. Another focal point is de Vera’s own unique JEWELRY and sculptures, incorporating rare antique elements such as Roman intaglios and Georgian brooches, coupled with precious gemstones including rose-cut diamonds, baroque pearls and Mediterranean coral.
